Last Night I was Christopher Moltisanti

This is from a very vivid dream I had last night in which I was Christopher Moltisanti from the Sopranos...

Toni and I were staking out a 20 story apartment building in Manhattan. There were some South American drug dealers up on the 10th floor. We created a diversion that drew them out of the apartment. I can't remember what the diversion was, but I think I was surprised it worked. Maybe it wasn't a diversion and they just happened to leave the apartment. Tony and I made our way up to the apartment. Once inside, we searched everywhere we could for our score. Finally I found about 20 long cigarette type cartons and inside each was cash. We estimate about 3-4 million in all. We also can across some powdered cocaine in sealed clear plastic bags I could fit in the palm of my hand. I think I grabbed a bag.

As this was happening, the dream was cutting to another scene of Paulie in an apartment in the same building. I couldn't understand why he wasn't helping us. He seemed very scruffy looking and down on his luck.

Back to us. We looked down at the street and we noticed the South Americans were starting to come back up. Toni and I scrambled up the stairs of the apartment building. About 3 or 4 flights up there was an 80 year old thin Italian looking man (almost looked like my Sicilian grandfather) walking into his apartment. We rushed in and asked to hide out. I gave him a roll of cash to keep his mouth shut. He agreed, as he seemed like someone who knew the rules of the street.

As we were hiding out for the next hour or so, the old man took out some old Italian records. I noticed some from my childhood memories. He played one of the records. Soon there was some noise coming from the halls. Also, for some reason his door would not close, so we feared someone would see us. We hid in his closet. Some cops I believe poked their noses in to make sure all was ok. After they left we were able to chain up the door.

When we decided to make our get away. My first thought was to climb to the roof and jump onto another building or group of buildings and make our way down them. But we noticed the buildings were too far away for us to jump on. So we headed out into the halls instead. A crowd of people were walking up the stairs. It seems while we were hiding the building was evacuated and people were now returning to their apartments.

We made our way through the crowd and somehow got away.

Later that evening, we were at an abandoned warehouse and surrounded by the entire Soprano crime family. We were showing everyone the money we stole. In my mind it was as if this was the families first heist in a while or first heist ever, and they were all starving for cash. I also was feeling greedy and didn't want to give them the money, since it was us who did all the work.

As I was standing there, I was scanning the room. I was interested to see that my coworker JP was there with his posse. I also saw Paulie again and again he looked down on his luck, which is now understandable since it seems the whole family hadn't scored something in a while.
